Ready for quilting! Woot!

It's been a long time coming, but I finally finished piecing the back of my Jubilee!  Woot!

The front was finished in record time, but I agonized over the back for nearly a year and a half!  Deciding to enter it into the Vermont Quilt Festival was the push I needed to figure it out!  And I'm so happy with it now!

The Front.....

and the Back.....

I love how the back turned out.  The orange section with the milk in it is 'made fabric' and was a total blast to put together.  And I'm loving the wavy line between the two sections.

My plan is to embroider the story of the quilt along the wavy line in the orange section with white floss (in tiny little letters!).  It will become the label for the quilt!

Now I just need to get busy with the quilting (which I haven't decided on yet!)!  LOL

  1. Oh my gosh, I love this. The front is stunning and the back is adorable! My mother in law is a quilter so we have a nice collection of quilts and such. I certainly appreciate the work that goes into something like this. Good luck at the festival.

  4. Orange. My most favorite color right next to cheddar. You rock with making this quilt. And the backing is over the moon! How special this quilt is. As much as I enjoy the color I never thought about make a two colored quilt with orange. Now you've got me pondering. thanks for sharing. You made my day.
